Events include cookie decorating, celebrity storytelling (Carson Kressley of “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” will read from his book “You're Different and That's Super”), drawing workshops with local designers and even dainty tea parties. All events are free (unless they partner with a non-profit, and then it would cost just a small donation) and are open to the public.

Premium popcornFor the month of April, Dale and Thomas will give customers a bag of one of their yummy-flavored popcorns (like peanut butter with white chocolate drizzle or country cheddar) when they trade in a bag of microwave popcorn. As an extra fun promotion, customers can also log onto www.daleandthomas.com and submit their worst popcorn stories in exchange for a free bag.

Do-It-Herself at Home Depot
Just in time for spring, Home Depot offers free clinics nationwide on everything from spring cleaning tips to rose gardening 101. A popular class is their Do-It-Herself workshops, where they offer fun designing classes for women, like how to have fun with color (red can look good in your living room!) to more practical things like how to install a ceiling fan. Another highlight is their Mother's Day clinics, where children and hubbies (or anyone else) can learn how to make a container garden or birdfeeder, and get to keep the gift to give to Mom.
