Many of Rihanna's fans are not happy with the singer's decision to follow her abusive ex-boyfriend Chris Brown on Twitter.
Over the weekend, fans began to notice that Brown had started following her on the social media site and that she had followed him in return. When confronted by a young fan who asked whether this mutual finding indicated that the two had reconciled or were even getting back together, Rihanna shot back "its f---in twitter, not the alter! [sic] calm down."
She later apologized for her harsh response but made it clear that the two were no longer involved.
Rihanna recently agreed to downgrade her restraining order against Brown, who had completed a year-long domestic violence education program as part of his sentencing for assaulting the singer on the night before the 2009 Grammy Awards.
