The Primetime Emmy nominations for best television drama series have been announced in Los Angeles by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
The category's nominees announced Thursday morning include: "The Good Wife," CBS; "Boardwalk Empire," HBO; "Friday Night Lights," NBC-DirecTV; "Game of Thrones," HBO; "Mad Men," AMC.
The 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards will be presented Sept. 18 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, hosted by Jane Lynch.
