LONDON (Reuters Life!) - Labour leader Ed Miliband said on Wednesday he is to marry his partner Justine Thornton at a ceremony in May.

"Justine and I are both very much looking forward to our wedding on May 27th," Miliband wrote on Twitter.

The MP for Doncaster North -- who beat his older brother David to be elected Labour Party leader in September 2010 -- told the Doncaster Free Press he would marry Thornton, an environmental lawyer, at a small, conventional ceremony in Nottingham after they decided to wed about a year ago.

He told the paper his brother David would be invited to the wedding but added that he would not have a best man.

Miliband and Thornton have two sons -- Daniel, who was born in May 2009 and Samuel, who was born in November 2010.
