The Duchess of Cambridge showed off her campfire cooking skills on Friday, as she braved snow and bitter cold to join a group of Scouts in a training exercise.
Kate, who is five months pregnant, toasted traditional British bread twists over the fire and helped train youngsters on other scouting skills in her visit to the Great Tower Scout Camp in northern England’s Newby Bridge, Cumbria.
Donning a khaki coat and matching wool cap, Kate also sported the $500 Le Chameau wellies she’s fond of wearing during other Scouting trips. She also wore a red, white and blue Scout kerchief tied around her neck.
Kate has gone on a number of other outings with the Scout Association, a charity close to her heart. A former Brownie, the duchess has been known to help out a Scout troop close to her home in North Wales.
