"Deadliest Catch" star Jake Harris has been arrested for allegedly driving under the influence and being in a hit and run accident.

The Washington State Patrol says that at about 9 p.m. Thursday night a private citizen contacted the Patrol about a possible DUI suspect traveling southbound on Interstate 5 from the King/Snohomish county line. A WSP airplane was already patrolling the area and spotted the vehicle.

Harris was pulled over on the exit ramp to Mercer Street near downtown Seattle. Troopers confirmed that he was the driver and was allegedly impaired.

According to the Patrol, while making the arrest, officers learned that he had been involved in a hit and run accident at around 5 p.m. while traveling northbound on I-5 at State Route 520. Harris was arrested for suspicion of DUI, hit and run, and driving with a suspended license. The charges are misdemeanors.

Harris — whose father Captain Phil Harris passed away earlier this month — was booked into King County Jail.

Bail was set at $1,500.
