Gov. Dannel P. Malloy is set to visit the Film Industry Training Program at Quinnipiac University as part of his effort to highlight job creation efforts in Connecticut.
The school says about 65 participants in the program are filming a short comedy, "A-1 Quality Entertainment," at a university site. Quinnipiac says Malloy will tour the movie set Thursday and meet with the trainees and program officials.
The state has used the Office for Workforce Competitiveness and Department of Economic and Community Development to fund the Film Industry Training Program since it began four years ago.
