Bobbie Thomas, TODAY Style editor and author of the Buzz column for “In Touch Weekly,” highlights some noteworthy online sales (because we know you’re not stepping foot in the mall anytime soon!):
You’re full, you’re tired, and above everything else, you’re shopped out! Believe me, I know how you feel. But between the gift card from your boss and the already-returned, too-small sweater from Aunt Franny, you have some cash to play with — and January is the best time to use it. Retailers are motivated to move stock this month, and many companies are offering deep discounts. Luckily, some of these savings are simply a click away.
Buy the basics
Your favorite “have-it-all” stores have it all on sale right now! Target’s “Clearance Kick Off” features steep price slashes on men's, women's, kids', toys, furniture, home and electronics, while JCPenney’s “After-Christmas Clearance” includes 50-70% off “everything Santa forgot.” And if you’re still in the mood to scope, check out the “Get What You Want” sale at Sears or Kohl’s “Gold Star” sale.
Help your home
Since it’s too cold to go out, you might as well spruce up your stomping ground! West Elm’s “Dash for Design” sale offers home décor savings of up to 75%, while Crate and Barrel, Pier 1, Williams-Sonoma and Pottery Barn are all boasting big winter sales.
And if your New Year's resolution had anything to do with staying organized, the Container Store is having their “Annual Elfa Sale” which is the one time you’ll see these closet and home containers at 30% off.
Complete your wish list Still have your heart set on a new pair of shoes or a special handbag? Maybe it’s time to gift yourself. Not only will those Victoria's Secret commercials help you stick to that “get to the gym” resolution, but their biggest Annual Sale may also help! Online shoe shop Piperlime is having their biggest sale of the season, the "Lime Tag Sale"; Armani Exchange is saying “Ciao!” to their winter merchandise with their semiannual sale event, and Steve Madden’s “Low Clearance — Watch Your Head” sale features savings of up to 75%.
And finally, if you're looking for a designer deal, you may want to check out Saks, where they’re advertising 60% off designer merchandise, or eLUXURY, whose “Post-Holiday” sale will satisfy your cravings with an additional 30% off already marked-down items.
