A Hartford brewery and restaurant has agreed to change the label on its bottled beers following a trademark dispute with the Anchor Brewing Co. in California.

The Hartford Courant (http://cour.at/1yd0qXD ) reports that lawyers for the Connecticut brewery view the settlement announced Wednesday as a win.
The San Francisco company brews Anchor Steam beer. It originally asked City Steam to stop using "steam" entirely, arguing it trademarked the term in the 1980s.
The Hartford restaurant will continue to be known as the City Steam Brewery Cafe. The company's lawyer said it was not going to allow Anchor Brewing to strip the company of its brand name after 17 years in operation.
