LONDON (Reuters Life!) - Three child actors from the British television series "Outnumbered," whose performances are partly improvised, have been nominated for the British Comedy Awards.
Daniel Roche and Tyger Drew-Honey have both been shortlisted in the best male comedy newcomer category, and Romano Marquez has been nominated for best female comedy newcomer.
Outnumbered, aired on the BBC, was the top-nominated show with five, including best television comedy actress (Claire Skinner) and best sitcom.
Alan Carr and Michael McIntyre have three nominations each and go head-to-head in both the best comedy entertainment personality and best comedy entertainment program categories.
"Bruno," Sacha Baron Cohen's movie about a gay Austrian fashion reporter, is in the running for best comedy film and is up against political satire "In The Loop" and "The Hangover," a raunchy comedy with a little-known cast.
The British Comedy Awards will be announced on December 12 and will be broadcast on ITV.
