From wedding bells to jingle bells: Prince Charles has picked a photo from his son's wedding for his official Christmas card this year.

Palace officials on Friday released an image of the card, which pictures Charles standing next to his wife, Camilla, while he holds up his wife's then 3-year-old granddaughter — and royal wedding bridesmaid — Eliza Lopes.

The image was captured when the group stood on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to greet the thousands of well-wishers on hand to celebrate the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton on April 29.

The palace said the outside of each card features part of the Prince of Wales' crest and his wife's cypher.

On the inside, a red border surrounds the photograph opposite the words "Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year."
