Central American corn patties have taken the top spot in a competition of New York City's street food vendors.
The Solber Pupusas food truck won the annual Vendy Awards on Saturday. Owners Rafael Soler and Reina Bermudez-Soler sell the Salvadorean treat and other items in locations around Brooklyn.
The Vendys celebrate the city's best street foods. The awards are organized by the Street Vendor Project, which works for vendor rights. They started in 2005.
