Star shortstop Carlos Correa admittedly had not put any thought into how he would propose to girlfriend Daniella Rodriguez if the Houston Astros didn't beat the Dodgers to win the World Series on Wednesday night.

"For me, it was Plan A. I didn't have a Plan B,'' Correa told Carson Daly on TODAY Friday.

So what if the Astros had lost?

"I guess, 'Let's go to the beach,' or something,'' Correa joked alongside Rodriguez on Friday.

Correa, 23, experienced two of the best moments of his life in one night when he got down on one knee on live television to propose to Rodriguez, 21, after a 5-1 win gave the Astros their first World Series title.

"I was waiting for the right time to do it,'' he said. "I knew we had championship potential in our team, so I was waiting it out."

The 2016 Miss Texas USA winner gasped in shock and then said yes, sharing a sweet moment as Correa slipped a big rock on her finger.

"I honestly was (surprised),'' Rodriguez said. "It was something that I never imagined him doing, especially there."
