A frightening moment for panicked parents in Nevada was luckily short-lived thanks to an off-duty cop being in the right place at the right time. Damien, 3, was choking on a piece of candy, so his parents ran into a nearby convenience store for help. Office Quinn Averett, who was off-duty at the time, heard the radio call, and came to the boy's rescue.
Damien's mother said the officer's quick action was "the greatest Christmas gift she could imagine."
