Are you a little Jenny from the block? Do you love singing her tunes? If you are 12 years of age or younger and can show us what makes you "the Biggest, Littlest Jennifer Lopez fan" we'll fly you and your parent to New York City to see Jennifer in concert on Rockefeller Plaza. Please send us a VHS videotape of yourself singing a Jennifer Lopez song (no more than 30 seconds) and on the same tape explain why you are the biggest Jennifer Lopez fan (no more than 30 seconds). The tape should be no longer than one minute in length. All tapes must be labeled with your parents name, address, daytime and evening telephone numbers, email address and child's name and age. PRELIMINARY INFORMATION: No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited. This contest is open only to children who are 12 years of age or younger as of February 7, 2005 and who are legal residents of the fifty states United States and the District of Columbia (RESIDENTS OF, GUAM AND PUERTO RICO ARE EXCLUDED). Contest begins on February 7, 2005 at 9:00 AM EST and ends on February 25, 2005 at 5:00 PM EST (“Contest Period”). All times in this Contest refer to Eastern Time.
To enter, please print then fill out the minor entry form, on behalf of your minor child, and release available at bottom of this page. You must be the parent of legal guardian of the entrant. Then make an original VHS videotape of your child singing a Jennifer Lopez song (no more than 30 seconds) and explaining why he/she is the Biggest Littlest Jennifer Lopez Fan (no more than 30 seconds). The footage should last no longer than one minute (the "Video"). By entering, you agree, on behalf of your child, that the Video may be broadcast on TODAY and in promotions and advertisements for TODAY. Videos must be original, truthful, unpublished, created solely by the submitting entrant, must not have been submitted in any other competition. In addition, you must be the owner or legal lessee of the home or property depicted in the Video, if any. All Videos become the property of NBC Universal, Inc. ("NBC") and will not be acknowledged or returned. Limit one entry per child. Entries that are incomplete, illegible, postage due or corrupted are void and will not be accepted.
Mailing Instructions: Print your name, your child’s name, your child’s age, address, telephone number (daytime and evening) and email address on a label affixed to your Video. Send the Video together with the release to the following address: TODAY, NBC, c/o BIGGEST LITTLEST JENNIFER LOPEZ FAN, 30 Rockefeller Center, New York, New York 10112. All entries must be received by 5:00 PM Eastern Time on February 25, 2005.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA Your child must be 12 years of age or younger as of February 7, 2005 and must be a legal U.S. resident physically residing within the fifty states United States (residents of Puerto Rico and Guam are excluded from entry and participation). Employees of NBC Universal, Inc., MSNBC Cable, LLC, their respective advertising and promotion agencies, their parent, subsidiary and joint venture companies, as well as members of their immediate families and households (including children, spouses and siblings and/or persons living in the same households as such persons (whether related or not)) may not enter on behalf of their minor children and are not eligible. TODAY reserves the right to conduct a background check and, if necessary, you agree to sign waiver forms authorizing the release of personal and background information.
SELECTION OF THE WINNER
One (1) winner will be selected by TODAY ("judges") on a rolling basis as Videos are received, beginning on February 7, 2005, from eligible entries received. The judges will select the entries based on the following criteria in their sole discretion: 50% creativity, 25% appearance 25% presentation based on the Video and on an optional telephone interview TODAY may elect to conduct in its sole discretion with a potential winner and parent or legal guardian. Parent or legal guardian may be required to submit to a background check. If for any reason the potential winner and parent or legal guardian of the potential winner do not meet any of the above eligibility requirements in TODAY’S sole discretion, the Judges may select an alternate winner. The decisions of the Judges are final and entrants agree to be bound by these decisions. Entrants agree that TODAY may film and broadcast TODAY advising entrant that he or she has been selected as a winner.
The Winner will be contacted in approximately the last week of February 2005.
The Winner will receive a trip to New York with their parent or legal guardian to see Jennifer Lopez live in Concert (“Concert”) on TODAY.
The trip consists of round trip coach class air transportation from the closest major airport to the winner’s home to a New York metropolitan area airport, two (2) nights hotel accommodations (one standard room, double occupancy), and ground transportation to and from NBC Studios on or about March 3, 2005. Winner and parent or legal guardian must be able to travel in the first week of March. Travel and hotel arrangements to be determined by NBC. NBC reserves the right to provide ground transportation in lieu of air transportation. If winner is not available to travel and attend the Concert on the TODAY show on the dates specified by NBC, winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner from the remaining eligible entries may be selected. Certain blackout periods and travel restrictions may apply. The tickets to the Concert cannot be transferred or rescheduled or redeemed for cash. Prize will be awarded in the name of winning minor’s parent or legal guardian. Winning fan must travel with his or her parent or legal guardian.
This prize cannot be redeemed for cash and is valid only as detailed above, with no substitution of prize by winner. TODAY reserves the right to substitute a similar prize of equal or greater value in its sole discretion. In the event that a Winner does not attend the Concert for any reason, then remaining elements of prize shall constitute full satisfaction of TODAY’S prize obligation to Winner and no additional compensation will be awarded. All costs and expenses associated with the acceptance and/or use of the prize but not outlined in this prize description are the sole responsibility of winner, including, but not limited to all applicable taxes, meals, beverages, room service, gratuities, telephone calls, insurance of prize, transportation, travel upgrades and personal incidentals.
TODAY further reserves the right to postpone or cancel the Concert for any reason, in the sole discretion of TODAY. The winner shall be responsible for applicable taxes and other expenses.
GENERAL CONDITIONS AND RELEASES
1. Reasonable travel expenses, including standard hotel and transportation in connection with the Winner’s attendance at the Concert on TODAY, and any publicity and promotion activities required by TODAY, will be paid for by TODAY. Travel and hotel arrangements to be determined by TODAY. TODAY, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to provide ground transportation in lieu of air transportation. Parent or legal guardian of winner is solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes on prize, and for any ground transportation, meals, gratuities, travel upgrades, personal incidentals, and any other expenses not specified herein. No substitution, assignment, or transfer of any prize permitted except that TODAY and NBC reserve the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater retail value.
2. Entry in this competition constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use entrant’s Video, name, city, state, likeness, appearance and voice on TODAY for purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity without additional compensation.
3. Winner and parent or legal guardian may not wear apparel that contains recognizable commercial logos during their appearances on TODAY. Winner’s and parent or legal guardian’s on-air wardrobes are subject to TODAY’s approval in its sole discretion. 4. In all disputes, TODAY is the sole judge and its actions are final.
All entrants and their parents or legal guardians assume all liability for any injury or damages caused or claimed to be caused by their participation in this Contest. All entrants and their parents or legal guardians release NBC Universal, Inc., MSNBC Cable, LLC and their respective advertising and promotion agencies, their parents, subsidiaries and joint venture companies, as well as their respective officers, directors, and employees (collectively “Released Parties”) from any such liability.
Released Parties assume no responsibility for any injury, damage or losses of any kind to any entrant, or to any entrant’s or other person’s computer, relating to or resulting from participating in this contest, including downloading materials or software. Released Parties are not responsible for technical, hardware, software, or telephone malfunctions of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled or delayed electronic communications caused by the user or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Contest or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this Contest.
Released Parties are not responsible for errors or failures of any kind, for inaccurate transcription of entry information, for errors in any promotional or marketing materials, for errors in these rules, for any human or electronic error, including but not limited in the administration of this Contest or Prizes, or for entries that are stolen, misdirected, garbled, delayed by computer transmissions, lost, late, damaged, or postage due.
TODAY reserves the right to terminate the entry period prior to its scheduled end date and to choose among entries received prior to the date of such termination.
Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the voting viewers whose decisions are final. Failure to comply with these rules may result in disqualification from this contest. NBC reserves the right to permanently disqualify any person it believes has intentionally violated these rules.
