Breast cancer documentary to premiere at Duke

A documentary that chronicles an experimental support plan for women with breast cancer is prremiering at the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke Univeristy.

The 57-minutes film is titled "What Love Is: The Duke Pathfinders 50" and it follows 50 patients and their caregivers through a two-year experimental protocol that tries to find a better way for the patients to live or die. It will be shown at 6 p.m. Friday.

Participants met with Duke social workers trained to help them identify strengths and develop ways to cope.

After the movie, director Theodore Bogosian will participate in a question-and-answer session. He's a Duke graduate and an instructor in the school's Program in the Arts of the Moving Image.
