Michael Moorcock's mythical Elric of Melniboné is getting new life in comic books with publisher BOOM! Studios making the issue available in stores and digitally the same day.
The publisher says the new series, written by Chris Roberson and drawn by Franceso Baigini, will also see a free 10-page prelude made available online to help readers gauge their interest in the popular fantasy character.
BOOM! says it's the first time they've offered a series snipped online for free, but in offering the comic on sale digitally the same day it's out on stands is part of a push it adopted in 2008, one the industry is starting to gravitate toward.
