Are you ready for the latest round of retro revival? "Dallas" and "Charlie's Angels" are returning to TV this fall, but the little blue guys called "The Smurfs" weren't content to stay on the small screen. This 1980s fave is jumping to movie theaters, with Neil Patrick Harris as their human pal. Of course, it's in 3-D. (Opens July 29.)
"Cowboys and Aliens" may be the most-anticipated movie of the summer that does not include an already-established franchise. (Harry P., we're looking at you.) Daniel Craig plays a loner with an unexplained shackle around his wrist who finds himself in a Western town ruled by Harrison Ford. And then, apparently, the aliens come. Director Jon Favreau rejected 3-D for this one, saying it wasn't appropriate for a Western. Can't disagree with that. (Opens July 29.)
In "Crazy, Stupid, Love," Steve Carell plays a guy who's gobsmacked to learn that his wife (Julianne Moore) wants a divorce. Ryan Gosling is the stud who takes hapless Carell under his wing and tries to help him move on, but has his own love issues with a woman played by Emma Stone. So lots of your typical rom-com humor, but Carell manages to lift everything he's in above the ordinary. (Opens July 29.)

We know some people who wait impatiently all year for this: Shark Week is here. The hilarious Andy Samberg has been dubbed Discovery Channel's new Chief Shark Officer, which doesn't sound like a job we'd like to have because at one point he has to jump into shark-filled waters in the Bahamas. Better you than us, Samberg. The week also includes numerous new shows about the toothy creatures, including "Jaws Comes Home," which follows great whites as they make a 1,200-mile journey up and down the eastern seaboard. (Shark Week begins July 31, 9 p.m., Discovery Channel.)
Heidi and Tim are back, and so's "Project Runway." The Emmy-nominated fashion competition starts off with 20 designers but can only keep 16, so each of the 20 must make their case and hope they're not "auf'd." Celebrity guest judges this season include Christina Ricci and Zoe Saldana, and Kim Kardashian. (Premieres July 28, 9 p.m., Lifetime.)

In "Source Code,"JakeGyllenhaal plays a soldier who wakes up in the middle of a time-warping government experiment. He must jump between his own body and that of a man who's about to die on a doomed Chicago train, and keep going back to try and find the bomber and save the city. Solid and a little creepy, the film was praised as "an ingenious thriller" by Roger Ebert. (Out on DVD July 26.)
