An unidentified German businessman is hoping his 500-thousand-dollar investment in Anna Nicole Smith's two diaries pays a handsome profit.

The buyer plans to sell the information to various media outlets, then resell the diaries by the end of the year.

The auction company that handled the sale on e-Bay says the "soap opera value" of the diaries could be worth more than a (m) million dollars alone, including the rights to publish photos of the pages.

Smith's 1992 diary consists of 26 entries from January to August, while the 1994 diary contains about 30 pages from January to July. In one excerpt, Smith talks about her elderly husband, saying "My husbands very weak. Theres nothing I can do," adding, "I want each hour to comfort him with medicines and prayers."

Smith was found dead on February eighth in Hollywood, Florida. The cause of her death is under investigation.
