"Boardwalk Empire" actress Paz de la Huerta pleaded guilty on Thursday to harassing a reality TV star during a fight over who was the bigger star, authorities said.

De la Huerta, 26, appeared in a Manhattan courtroom and admitted threatening to hit Samantha Swetra on March 20 during an argument in a trendy New York City bar, said a spokeswoman for the Manhattan district attorney's office.

Swetra, who has appeared on the MTV reality series "The City," has also filed a civil lawsuit against de la Huerta, alleging that she suffered permanent injuries after the HBO star punched her and then threw a glass at her, cutting her leg, during a bar brawl.

Swetra was "assaulted, beaten and battered" so viciously that she sustained "severe" physical and emotional injuries, some of which are "permanent in nature," according to the law suit. Swetra is suing for unspecified damages.

De la Huerta's guilty plea to second-degree harassment is considered a violation and not a criminal offense, the prosecutor's office said.

She was ordered to complete one day of community service, 10 to 12 weeks of alcohol treatment, and to stay away from Swetra.

Prosecutors had said de la Huerta told the arresting officers that Swetra was a wannabe actress, while she was a real star.
