As kids, and even as adults, we've dreamed of being kings or queens. While the likelihood of becoming the next Prince William or Duchess Kate is slim to none, you can at least feel like a royal by vacationing at a castle. Stuck on where to find one these fairy tale spots? Well, you're in luck because TripAdvisor announced the top 10 castle hotels in the world.

Considered more modest in the castle world, this 19th century Scottish hotel is luxurious inside and out. Located on the banks of Loch Faskally and surrounded by colorful rolling hills. Five hours south of Hotel Castello di Sinio lays another impressive castle that's known as the birthplace of Federico da Montefeltro, Duke of Urbino. Even the onsite restaurant is lit with candelabras to make you feel the romance of the Umbria region, known as the country's green heart.

Originally established as a military base in the 13th century, it is now a luxury 18-room hotel with a number of medieval touches. Specialized artisans of wood and iron make the furniture and beds, and there's even a well from the era. Be sure to check out Camera del Drago that was only discovered in 2005 and features a small tile of a dragon.

Located in the English countryside, this 800-year-old castle is situated on 17 acres, making you feel like a true king of the land. The 19 stunning rooms are individually designed, some with classic four-poster beds. You can even get married on the property surrounded by walled gardens and hidden pools.
