SimplyBlog, which is put together by the folks at the job search site Simply Hired, has compiled a list of tips and tricks for people who are dealing with tax time and a job search.
Among the quirks to keep in mind, according to the post:
- You can’t deduct the cost of your job interview haircut, but you can deduct the mileage for your trip to the interview.
- Your unemployment benefits are most likely taxable.
- You cannot generally deduct expenses if you are looking for a job in a new field or for the first time.
