Ever wanted to see a city through the eyes of your favorite book characters? Well, if you are a fan of Stieg Larsson’s Millennium series, you can do just that!

On the tour, enthusiasts visit city streets and places of interest that inspired Larsson during his writing and helped bring his characters to life. See where Mikael Blomkvist lived and wrote, pass by the Millennium editorial office, visit the beer garden where Lisbeth Salander met with her lawyer, and check out the view from her luxury apartment.

The tour follows the book series rather than the films, but movie fans will also recognize on-location film spots like the Kaffe coffee shop and courthouse.

The Stockholm City Museum has organized the Millennium tour since 2008 with the intention of telling the story of Stockholm through Larsson’s characters. Guided tours in English are available for $15 every Saturday and Thursday, lasting approximately 2 hours. Visitors can also do the tour on their own with a map.
