The heavens are parting and the words written in the sky say, "Chipotle now delivers."
Fans of the Mexican fast casual restaurant can now order their favorite burritos and tacos to come to them using the delivery startup Postmates.
Chipotle's CEO announced the news this week during a call with investors about its financial results. The service will be available in 67 cities, including New York, Miami, Philadelphia, Denver, Los Angeles, Chicago, Seattle, and Dallas.
The cost will range from $4.99 to $7.99, depending on distance.
“There have been a lot of people that have been delivering Chipotle through various services over the years and we’ve tried in a lot of cases to shut them down,” Chipotle CEO Mark Crumpacker said on the call. “We weren’t sure whether the quality was going to be sufficient or whether they were following our rules.”
Now if they can just get someone to deliver more pork to Chipotle.
