“Modern Family” star Jesse Tyler Ferguson recently started a family of his own, marrying his longtime boyfriend Justin Mikita. The two also made a recent real estate purchase, picking up a new home in Los Feliz.

Their new house has quite a bit of Hollywood history. It was owned by rocker Gwen Stefani and her husband, Gavin Rossdale. According to property records, Rossdale and Stefani lived in the Spanish colonial revival home from 1998 to 2007 before selling to TV writer and producer Mark Brazill. Brazill, who co-created “That ’70s Show,” owned the home for just a year, selling it in 2008.

The cabana-style home is tucked away into the hills of Los Feliz, on a half-acre lot. Situated behind gates and a long driveway, the home measures 5,000 square feet and has four bedrooms, 4.5 baths, as well as a formal dining room, library and media room.

Los Feliz is a hotspot for celebrities. Ferguson can count “Twilight” star Kristen Stewart and “Dexter” star Michael C. Hall among his neighbors.

Philadelphia Phillies’ Chase Utley lists upscale condo

Tri-level condos are a dime a dozen in New York City, but in Philadelphia, they’re a little less common. In fact, when Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Chase Utley and his wife, Jennifer, bought the home, they turned it into a condo that doesn’t have an equal in the city, says listing agent Melanie Stecura of Kurfiss Sotheby’s International Realty.

“They bought a bi-level penthouse and the apartment beneath it and combined the two,” Stecura explained. Now listed for $4.3 million, 210 W. Washington Sq #PHSW, Philadelphia is a rare piece of real estate to hit the Center City East market.

“When they bought the home, they were a younger couple, so it was a great place for them starting out,” Stecura said. “But now that they have a family, they wanted more land and a yard to play in.”

The family of three has already moved to a new home, according to Stecura, but they’re staying in the Philadelphia area.

Utley’s condo measures 4,588 square feet and offers four bedrooms and five bathrooms. Custom details include a private elevator leading to the master suite, a media room with wet bar, and high-end appliances in the kitchen.
