American movie celebs often avoid doing commercials in the United States for fear it will cheapen their brand. But they've been hopping jets and shooting commercials overseas for years. Not only does it pay big bucks, the ads can be super fun. Of course, part of the fun is seeing a famous face in an unfamiliar setting. Is that really Dennis Hopper playing in the bath with a rubber ducky? (That's a real commercial.)

Here's some of the top ads you've never seen, until now...

George Clooney and John Malkovich for Nespresso

George Clooney has insisted that he won't do any old commercial so maybe he was as tickled as we were by the concept in this ad that aired in France. He stars with John Malkovich in an encounter at the Pearly Gates where they haggle over a Nespresso coffee-maker.

"Mr. Bean" for Snickers

When this ninja forgets to get the proper fuel, he turns into awkward absurdist comic Mr. Bean. Whoops, better get some nuts!

Mike Meyers for Sears Canada: #MyBrotherWorksAtSears

Turns out that Mike Meyers has a brother who has worked at Sears Canada for the past 32 years! There must be a shared family funny bone because he agreed to appear in this amusing ad for the store with his more famous brother that plays up both their unexpected relationship and the struggling retailer's problems.

Mentos NOWmints: "Tiny Fresh Things"

This ad doesn't have any big name celebs but Londoners are undoubtedly giggling over its cute yet surprising joke about the power packed into a tiny mint.
