Whether you’re a gastro know-it-all willing to come to blows over which local hovel houses the best pork buns, or someone forced to endure such a character, "Foodies" is the Web show for you.

Premiering Wednesday on freefoodies.com, the weekly series of comedy shorts focuses on an exclusive dinner club lorded over by Internet food blogger Danny Domenica (played by Daniel Franzese, the funniest person in "Mean Girls" ). Attendees take iPhone pics of their plates before eating, and character is judged by a new member’s reaction to "bacon Jello and peanut butter and jelly wonton."

"I was actually in a dinner club with some very sort of wannabee society people (and somewhere between preparing the gazpacho sorbet and the conch shell fritters, I realized this rarefied world was ripe for comedy," Foodies creator Japhy Grant told the Huffington Post. "Sure people can be snobby about food, but oftentimes it's a mask for deep passion."

Meal stakes are raised when the fiancé of Domenica’s ex-girlfriend infiltrates his dinner club, and the romantic comedy unfolds in 5- to 7-minute segments premiering weekly. "Foodies" stars  Carlee Avers ("Veronica Mars") Sean Hankinson ("Prom Queen"), Anne Lane ("Dorm Life") and Jeffery Self ("30 Rock," "90210").
