Chances are you have tons of photos stored on your smartphone but most of them probably stay on the device and are at risk of being destroyed or lost. TODAY digital lifestyle expert Mario Armstrong offers some helpful tips to keep your precious memories forever and display them in a fun way.

Edit photos right after you take them
1. Delete unwanted photos as soon as you take them to save space.
2. Crop, lighten and remove red eye on the spot so you don't forget later.

Organize photos on your phone

3.  Use a cloud service like CrashPlan or an external hard drive to back up photos from your smartphone and computer.
4. Use a photo app like Trunx to categorize your photos by event, date, create custom labels and share private albums with friends and family.
