Sofia Vergara buys ornate Beverly Hills villa

There’s more than enough room for Sofia Vergara’s entire "Modern Family" in the seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom home she bought in Beverly Hills.

Sofia Vergara's new Beverly Hills villa has dramatic flair.

The Colombian star, who plays the hot stepmom on the ABC sitcom, is joining the 90210 ZIP code after two years in a row of being the country’s highest-paid TV star, according to Forbes. Besides her acting work, she is a spokesmodel for Cover Girl and Diet Pepsi, contributing to an annual income of about $30 million.

So that helps contextualize the $10.6 million sale price of her new villa. (Zillow’s mortgage calculator estimates her payments at $51,908 a month).

The listing from The Agency‘s Mauricio Umansky and Farrah Aldjufrie says the 2006 property was built with “the most exquisite materials imported from Argentina.”

The home does have a dramatic flair, with a domed ceiling, a spiral staircase with ornate railing, coffered, carved ceilings, inlaid floors, and multiple fireplaces and terraces.

In the basement, the home has a 3,000-bottle wine cellar and tasting room, a movie theater and a gym with a sauna.
