The band OK Go is known for creating not only catchy songs, but also quirky music videos to go with them — which have seen its members jumping to and from running treadmills and zooming around on personal transport devices.

Most recently, the rock group channeled their creativity in Chinese furniture store Red Star Macalline’s commercial — and regardless of whether or not you know Chinese, the video is a thrill.

With a remixed audio track of OK Go’s hit “I Won’t Let You Down,” the video opens to what appears to be all four band members sitting on a maroon couch — only for the camera to pivot and reveal that only one person is there. The visual mind games — trick staircases! walking on ceilings! — keep on coming for the rest of the commercial.

The band wrote on its YouTube page that the ad's visual fun is a nod to OK Go's music video for “The Writing’s on the Wall,” where disappearing staircases and mirrors play more tricks on viewers.

Damian Kulash and Tim Nordwind from the band appeared on TODAY last fall, where they said that their music videos typically come after weeks of brainstorming and collaboration with participating brands.

“We don’t really differentiate between the process for making songs and for making videos,” Kulash said at the time. “We just like to make stuff.”
