Jenna Bush Hager opened the door to daughter Mila’s nursery last fall as part of TODAY's original series "At Home with TODAY," and we haven’t stopped loving it ever since. If you’re a fan of the eclectic nursery as well, we have good news for you: Here's how you can create a similar look in your home!
The "gallery wall" look has been popular in home decor over the last several years, and Mila’s nursery is no exception. One of Jenna’s favorite parts of the nursery is the art that hangs alongside Mila’s crib, and it’s fortunately an easy look to recreate by following these five steps.
Mila’s white, modern crib is a classic piece for any nursery, and there are plenty of similar, affordable options available, including Target’s 3-in-1 Convertible Crib. Not only does it have the same contemporary look, but it also delivers lots of bang for your buck as it can adapt from a crib to a toddler bed.
Jenna doubles up on function by using Mila’s dresser as a changing table as well. One inexpensive way to get a similar look in your home is to pick up IKEA’s HEMNES dresser and, if desired, swap out the knobs for a more contemporary style, like this modern brass look.
One of the most special pieces in Mila’s nursery is the brass mirror hanging opposite the gallery wall, a piece Jenna and her husband, Henry, found in Baltimore where they used to live.
While their antique mirror is a particularity unique item, check out local antique and thrift stores in your area for similar styles. Or purchase a contemporary mirror at a local discount store, like Home Goods or T.J. Maxx, and use this antique-mirror DIY to get the same spotted effect.
Hanging in one corner of Mila's nursery is an adorable wood birdcage, and while the birdcage was a gift that Jenna’s sister found in a New York antique shop, Hobby Lobby has several bird cages in various colors and at various price points.
Hanging on the ceiling of Mila’s nursery is a beaded chandelier that warmly lights the room, and World Market has one ready to be installed in your home. It’d be hard not to justify putting one in every room!
Jenna is just like every other mom, and that means she needs lots of accessible storage. Several readers spotted her plastic storage bins filled with all-things-Mila. Whether you need to pack away those summer clothes for warmer months or need a spot to stash clothing that doesn't fit quite yet, those durable containers are a must-have for any family.
