Gourd-eous! Meet the artist and breast cancer survivor behind the 'Trumpkin'

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. When life gives you Donald Trump ...

Ohio resident Jeanette Paras knows pumpkins, which puts her squarely in her element this time of year. And for the past 25 years, she's made mostly local splashes by painting the seasonal gourds to look like famous faces.

But this year, she squashed the competition by turning a 374-pound pumpkin into Donald Trump's head and calling it the "Trumpkin."

Yet there's even more to this story. October is also breast cancer awareness month. And that's another subject she knows a lot about.

"At the end of September, I underwent nine hours of surgery for breast cancer," she told TODAY.com via email. "This has been an important part of my recovery and of getting on with my life."

In the past, she's also made up pumpkins to resemble Miley Cyrus (with a wrecking ball), Lady Gaga and Monica Lewinsky, among others.

But while we're cheering her Trumpkin, we're also cheering the way she's tackling breast cancer. Way to go, Jeanette!
