When Kerra Michele Huerta faced divorce after her husband moved out of their Washington, D.C. home, she didn't sulk. She sold.
The DIY blogger and interior designer sold most of her furniture on Craigslist and completely started over decorating her home, this time with the mission to create an inspiring space for herself.

“Everyone I know thought I was completely insane,” Kerra told TODAY.com. “Everything in this house really just reminded me more of bad times than good, and I wanted so badly to have a happy life and start over.”
After 11 months of thrift-store shopping and DIY decorating, Kerra finally felt like she was home.
