Ellen DeGeneres is inviting you over to her home — in her new book, that is.
The comedian and talk show host left the pranks behind on Tuesday when she stopped by TODAY to chat about her new book, "Home," in which she opens up the doors to the stunning places she's called been lucky enough to call home.
The 304-page book, which was released on Tuesday, includes both photographs and interior decorating tips from DeGeneres, who's had several homes over the last 25 years.
"Every home that we have lived in people say that you should photograph this and we did, but then we didn't do anything with the photographs and everyone said you need to do a book and especially because I really do love doing it and nobody really knows that about me except my closest friends," said DeGeneres on TODAY about her motivation for creating this new book.
She loves interior design so much that if it wasn't for a career in television, she admits we could find her doing decorating for a living, but she definitely doesn't love every part of it.
"I don't like building. I don't like construction, but I love redoing a house and furnishing a house and shopping. I like the whole design part of it," admits DeGeneres about her passion.
But don't worry. DeGeneres tells Lauer she's certainly not ready to give up making us laugh on her talk show for interior design just yet.
"I'm having fun and people seem to be enjoying it," DeGeneres said. "I'll do it as along as it's fun."
