We have a winner!
DIY gurus have been hard at work showing off their décor projects as part of TODAY.com’s DIY Your Home contest, and while it was a tough decision among the more than 700 entries, Bobbie Thomas selected Emily Binton’s entry of a twin bed she and her mother made into a colorful bench as the winner.
Binton created the bright blue beauty by reusing a twin-sized headboard, footer and side rails. “With my mom’s help, we cut, sanded, painted and pieced together a sturdy bench that is a great accent piece,” she said about her entry, and Bobbie couldn’t agree more.
“I love that the mom/daughter duo rolled up their sleeves and used a bit of muscle (and a saw!) to turn an unneeded bed frame into a brightly colored bench,” Bobbie Thomas said about the project. “A+ for effort! Rosie the Riveter would be proud.”
