Friends and family of babies and the betrothed, rejoice!
Costco now offers a gift registry service that allows its members to sign up for blenders, dishes, car seats and anything else available for sale in their warehouse stores.
The big-box discounter partnered with MyRegistry.com to offer a universal registry that can be used by engaged couples and expectant parents alike as they prepare to set up for their huge milestones.
Couples about to tie the knot can use the service to request towels, appliances, even couches and other furniture items from their wedding guests. The registry program appears to be a natural extension for Costco, which already offers couples a service that helps them order wedding invitations, jewelry and even honeymoon-related hotel and travel plans.
Meanwhile, new parents can use the registry to sign up for books and toys, as well as high-ticket items including strollers, cribs, video monitors and other baby gear. And of course, they can also request bulk volumes of daily essentials such as formula, diapers and rash creams.
A dream come true for all the Costco fans in your life!
