Now that Christmas is over, it's a great time to take advantage of some killer post-holiday deals.
Robyn Moreno of Latina magazine stopped by TODAY Monday to highlight big discounts on everything from video games to fitness equipment from major retailers.
Considering nearly two-thirds of Americans make getting fit and eating healthy their primary New Year's resolutions, treadmills are sure to be in demand.
TODAY editors, writers and experts take care to recommend items we really like and hope you’ll enjoy! Just so you know, TODAY does have affiliate relationships. So, while every product is independently selected, if you buy something through our links, we may get a small share of the revenue.
Moreno noted that Sears is taking 50 percent off all fitness equipment, including selling a NordicTrack C 950i treadmill that is regularly priced at 1,499.99 for $699.99 — a savings of $800.
For all those who got an Xbox, PlayStation or Nintendo Wii under the tree for Christmas, Toys "R'" Us is having a buy one, get 30 percent off another for all video games, movies and CDs.
American Girl dolls, another must-have item this Christmas, are offering deep discounts on accessories and related products only from Monday through Saturday at American Girl retail stores. Fashion Angels activity kits and Williams-Sonoma American Girl products are both 50 percent off, while doll-related hair and spa products are 25 percent off this week.
For those looking for a deal on car seats for children, select styles of Maxi-Cosi's top-rated Pria 70 Convertible car seat have been marked down from $249.99 to $149.99 from Monday, Dec. 26 all the way through January at Albee Baby (in-stores and online). The seats are built for children ranging from 9 pounds to 70 pounds.
Now is also a good time to get a deal on outerwear with three months of cold weather ahead for most of the country. From Dec. 28 through Jan. 2, Macy's is offering 60 percent off wool coats for men and women, 60 percent off outerwear, and 50 percent off all coats.
Anyone looking to indulge their sweet tooth can find a deal on select Lindt chocolates, which are 50 percent off at retailers nationwide (and Lindt.com) through New Year's Eve — look for those discounts on boxed chocolates, bars, and create-your-own truffles.
As for deals on tech products, Moreno advised to wait until around the Super Bowl in the first week of February for the best sales, while waiting until January for the best sales on linens, bedding and mattresses.
