It looks to have been a particularly special Christmas for Joey Feek, who celebrated the day surrounded by family while she is receiving care for stage 4 cervical cancer.
The 40-year-old country star is shown sitting upright on a sofa with a blissful smile in the photo shared on Joey and Rory's Facebook page. She's in the midst of opening a big wrapped gift, with her IV pole nearby.
While the singer has confidently shown her bald head — a result of intense cancer treatments — in photos, in this one she's wearing a wig.
"Celebrating Christmas with Joey, surrounded by family. The best gift of all. Thank you Lord," the caption said.
Rory, also Joey's musical partner, has devotedly captured his wife's resilient spirit on social media and the couple's blog, This Is Live, to share her story and honor what may be her final days.
There were no signs of Santa Claus in the new picture, but that's because Santa had already visited a week prior, bringing holiday cheer to the Feeks and their darling baby girl, Indiana.

On Christmas Eve, Rory also shared a photo of an ornament that holds a picture of Rory and Indiana.
Joey has been making the most of her time with Indiana, and has even summoned the strength to get out of bed in order to play with her.
Joey was diagnosed with cancer in 2014, and after undergoing aggressive treatments, the singer opted to stop pursuing additional treatment and instead enter hospice. Rory has been chronicling their journey together on his blog.
