Just moments before having emergency surgery two years ago, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson took a selfie in his Superman shirt, not knowing it would be key in serving as motivation for a future patient down the line.
An Instagram user by the name of bekkishae posted her own "fierce fighter" picture in response to Johnson's photo on the day she was set to undergo a radical hysterectomy — a procedure necessary to treat her cervical cancer and prevent future strains of the disease from developing.

In her post, she thanks Johnson for "motivating her to be strong" and sports a pose similar to his.
Touched by her tribute and inspired by her strength, Johnson called her "amazingly fierce" for sharing her story.
He wrote, "I'm honored that my pre-surgery pic inspired her, but what's more heartwarming to me and certainly more important is just how many people around the world she's inspiring — just by being the fierce woman the universe intended her to be."
