Curious how you should treat your curves? Jeanette Jenkins, Author of "The Hollywood Trainer Weight-Loss Plan" lists the different body types and the right health plans to accentuate their strengths:
The important thing to learn is that your genetics are unique to you and all body types are beautiful. You do the best with what you have, love it, own it! There are three different body types:
Ectomorph: Giselle, Rhianna, Angelina Jolie (model like figure) (most depicted in the media as a women's figure)
Mesomorph: athlete, Janet Jackson, Jessica Simpson, Serena Williams, Britney Spears, Pink,
Endomorph: Sara Ramirez, America Ferrera, Oprah Winfrey, (lease depicted in the media)
Many people are a mix of two example:
Ecto-mesomorph: Venus Williams, Jessica Beil, Naomi Campbell
Meso-endo: Queen Latifah
1) Ectomorph's often complain about wanting more curves. These women are often flatter chested and what breasts or a booty like Beyonce. There body responds well to heavy weight lifting because they don't have the genetic make up to build size therefore they will get a nice tone.
2) Mesomorph usually enjoy doing weights because their body responds very quickly to any type of training. Although many mesomorphs complaining about getting to bulky therefore resistance training in the form of pilates or Yoga will help them lengthen instead of shorten the muscle fibers. Traditional weight training does shorten the muscles fibers.
3) Endomorphs definitely need to be doing cardio and resistance training to help them burn more fat and the cardio will also help with their digestion and elimination. Any type of resistance training combined with cardio and a healthy meal plan will help an endomorph lose weight. But keep in mind endomorphs have an ability to get a bit bulky also so I recommend drop sets when they do weight training or pilates and yoga to lengthen the muscle fibers.
