Cher shares her intense fitness routine with fans

The 75-year-old music icon's workout routine is proof that she has not slowed down one bit over her decades-long career.

Cher dropped her workout routine on social media and it has fans feeling exhausted after just reading it.

In a tweet on Tuesday, Jan. 18, Cher revealed her intense fitness regime for the day, as well as what exercises she had planned for herself the next day.

“Just came up from, Abs, Zumba, Yoga, Wall Sits,” Cher wrote. “Tomm. My Step Class, Yoga, Different Abs. WHOA.”

The 75-year-old continued her tweet with a comment she heard about herself recently from a friend about her new campaign for MAC Cosmetics, writing, “Pauli has a friend, Who said a Strange thing. He Said ‘MOST INTERESTING THING ABOUT MAC COMMERCIAL…’SHE STILL WALKS THE SAME WAY SHE DID WHEN SHE WAS YOUNG.’”

Fans celebrated Cher’s athleticism in the replies, while some even tried out her regime to live out the Cher workout experience.

“you made me exhausted just reading this and i didn’t even do the workout!” one fan tweeted. “i go back to doing mine tomorrow. tonight is a movie night. i’ll work off the popcorn tomorrow.”

Another fan added, “Hey there, Cher! Phew! I worked up a sweat, and am exhausted, just reading this tweet..”

“Could u send me some of that energy, pls!?,” they added. “Friends comment just means you are ageless and timeless my dear. Have a great day!”

“Wow, you did ALL that at the gym today???!!! That’s my Queen!” one fan wrote to the pop icon. “Pauli’s friend is right, you still walks the same way! But, for me, the most interesting (& beautiful & amazing) thing about MAC commercial is YOU... I mean ALL of you! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!”

Another fan marveled at Cher’s routine, writing, “What I’d give to be able to exercise like that! And walk without my pain!”

“Love to hear how fit you are and definitely love your walk,” they added. “1st Noticed your walk back in the 70s. Still the same Cher.”

In recent years, another female music icon shared one of her routines that have marveled fans for decades. In December 2020, Dolly Parton shared insight into her morning routine to RuPaul during a Marie Claire interview.

“I’m a very, very, very early riser,” she revealed. “I go to bed pretty early, but I’m up and down. If I wake up and I’m pretty well awake, I think, I’ve got so much to do, I’ll get up and I’ll work a little while, write a little while, and I’ll lay back down.

Early for Parton is waking up around 3 a.m. after getting “three to five hours” of sleep, though she prefers five. In the morning hours between 3 a.m. and 7 a.m., she said she does "some of my best spiritual work, some of my best writing, and some of my business work."

“I get more work done during that little period of time when the world is calm, energies are down, and I just feel like a farmer," she explained. "They say the early bird gets the worm. Well, they also get a lot of good ideas too.”

Part of her morning routine also involves cooking breakfast for her husband of over 55 years, Carl Dean. True to herself, she cooks breakfast in a pair of high heels, which is quintessential to her glam self.

“I have to always stay ready — street ready, I always say,” she said. “I have to keep my makeup on and keep my hair done. But I actually do wear high heels most of the time. They’re not always as high as the ones I wear for show. But I’m little. I’m short. And I have to wear heels in order to reach my cabinets. But I always enjoy wearing the shoes too, and I just feel more like me.”
