Be a smart sipper by jazzing up your water

Hydration is crucial if you want to feel your best, but sometimes you crave something with more pizazz than water, right? Try these ideas.

Hydration is crucial if you want to feel your best. Good ol' H2O is your best bet when it comes to being a smart sipper. It contains no calories, no sugar and no artificial ingredients — not to mention its countless health benefits.

But sometimes we just want something a little more exciting, right?

To give water more pizazz without adding anything artificial, try these ideas:

  • Add cucumber, orange, or lemon slices to your water for a refreshing, tasty twist.
  • Love bubbles? Try naturally flavored seltzer waters— carbonated water with a shot of fruit flavor. They come in delicious varieties like green apple, pomegranate, cherry — even coconut. You can add a splash of 100% fruit juice to create your own smart, low-cal “soda.”
  • Fun flavored teas are also great hydrators. Serve them chilled like my Peach-Raspberry Iced Tea, or enjoy a warm mug of tea on a chilly day. Craving something with a little kick? Brew a cup of delicious Ginger Green Tea. The aroma alone will make you swoon!
