It takes many, many years of practice to make it to the Olympics but each athlete starts his or her day just like the rest of us: they eat breakfast.

Admittedly, some of their plates might be a bit more healthful than our simple bagel slathered with cream cheese. For example, ice hockey player Meghan Duggan begins her days with a nutritious breakfast bowl filled with sweet potatoes, greens, plus eggs and lentils for brain-boosting protein.

Snowboarder Chloe Kim keeps it simple with Cinnamon Toast Crunch — but many prefer non-processed foods to fuel their days.

Many athletes also enjoy a good cup of coffee to wash it all down, too, so even super-human need a little caffeine boost just like the rest of us!
