Meredith hasn’t always had an easy time doing cooking segments. She’s no Susie Homemaker, but she sure does have fun making a mess in the kitchen. When asked about her favorite kitchen gadget, Meredith had this to say: “The TV remote’s in the kitchen, does that count? Actually, the corkscrew, that’s what it is.”

“Meredith has a schtick … and her schtick has been not to be a very good student,” said domestic goddess Martha Stewart, who has done several cooking segments with Meredith Vieira over the last five years. Martha looks back at some of her favorite moments cooking with the anchor, like when Meredith threw a glass of red wine on Martha’s white blouse.
