Like most people, Joe Bastianich isn’t a chef — but he loves to cook.
His partnership with celebrity chef Mario Batali and his development of several celebrated restaurants earned him a spot as a coach and judge on Gordon Ramsay's new cooking show, “MasterChef,” premiering July 27 on FOX.
“I’m not a chef, but I’m a food guy,” Joe says. “I’m a home cook.”
Joe’s pomodoro sauce recipe is an ode to simplicity.
From this basic sauce come all kinds of ideas, and you can use it as a spaghetti sauce, on pita pizza, with grilled sausage and any number of other ways.
