It’s a roast of the royal couple! U.K. restaurant and pub chain Crown Carveries re-created the engagement portrait of Prince William and Kate Middleton using only dinner table delights. Carrots, corn and peas make up the background, while turkey is used for the couple’s skin. Topping it all off, the engagement ring is made with – what else? – gravy.

It took food artist Prudence Staite more than two hours to serve up the "fork-trait," reports The Publican, a newspaper for the U.K.’s bar and pub industry.

“We wanted to produce the first official ‘fork-trait’ using all the majestic ingredients found on one of our princely banquets – a roast with all the trimmings – to give the happy couple a tasteful memento of their special day,” the operations director of Crown Carveries told the paper.

Who else would you want to see in a "fork-trait"?
