Carla and Frank Pellegrino Jr. opened Rao's at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, where she is the chef and he runs the restaurant, in December 2006. They have tried to re-create the intimate atmosphere of the New York City restaurant by dividing the Vegas location into small rooms. The original East Harlem spot is believed to be one of the country's oldest family-owned-and-run restaurants in its original location.
