Prince Harry reveals he's never eaten this campfire classic

Even the royals miss out on some of life's greatest pleasures.

Camping may be full of delights and hardships but there's one thing virtually anyone who has ever pitched a tent can agree on — s'mores are one of the best parts of the whole trip.

Well, everyone except Prince Harry!

The rugged royal visited Myplace at Brockholes Nature Reserve, a project that helps young people get involved in environmental activities, in northwest England on Monday and made the shocking admission.

"I've never toasted marshmallows over a campfire," Harry, 33, said. "But I've made campfires and slept under the stars more than I've slept in a bed."

That's probably true: Harry has been a military man and served in Afghanistan. He left the Army in 2015 and created the Invictus Games in 2014. Clearly, he's an outdoorsman to the core.

Except in this instance. So why has he never done the whole toasting marshmallows thing? "They're too sweet for me," he said.

Now, we know the prince eats popcorn, because a little girl recently made headlines by swiping some from his bucket at the Invictus Games in September. And apparently Princess Diana, Harry's mom, once served him and his brother William McDonald's.

So Harry is no stranger to junk food.

Well, Meghan Markle, the American actress Harry has been seriously dating for some time, the marshmallow is in your court. Maybe the "Suits" star can share the simple joys of a nicely browned and toasted marshmallow one day soon.

Please show Harry the way!
