In a new interview with Parade magazine, hot mama Padma Lakshmi talks about “Top Chef” and motherhood.
She calls fellow judge Tom Colicchio her “TV husband,” and says that she usually goes up one or two dress sizes while filming a season of “Top Chef.” The best nugget from the interview, however, is when she dishes on the picky palate of her 1-year-old daughter, Krishna.
“I totally have a foodie on my hands,” Lakshmi tells Parade. “She doesn’t like leftovers and she eats homemade food. She’s never had store-bought baby food. Right now she’s on a Tuscan kale kick!”
Though this may induce a few eye rolls, Krishna is hardly the only toddler gourmand out there. The New York Post recently reported on “demanding foodie tots” who regularly snack on expensive sushi and shun McDonald’s in favor of Michelin-starred restaurants.
