Two cookies are always better than one and, when they're stuffed with ice cream, that's a total win.
But there's one, new giant ice cream sandwich that really takes the cake as the ultimate version of the frozen dessert — and rap superstar Cardi B had a hand in its creation.
This larger-than-life ice cream sandwich is the crown jewel of the dessert menu at Magic Hour Rooftop Bar & Lounge in New York City. Food world entrepreneur Jeremy Jacobowitz of Brunch Boys captured this mesmerizing video of how the over-the-top dessert is made.
Sandwiched between two chocolate cookie cakes are layers of homemade chocolate, vanilla and strawberry ice creams that have been molded into perfectly shaped discs.
The whole thing is decorated in rainbow sprinkles — over 800 of them! — for a stunning technicolor effect.
All in, the colossal dessert is 4 inches tall, 8 inches wide and weighs 3.5 pounds — 3.3 of which are pure ice cream!
The hot spot hasn't always offered this mondo-sized ice cream sandwich. Initially, it was offered in a single serving only, but then rapper Cardi B decided to super size it.
"Cardi B requested we make an extra-large one for her 'Invasion of Privacy' album-release party as a special treat for her guests," a Magic Hour spokesperson told TODAY Food.
The rapper's album debuted at No. 1 on the "Billboard 200" but that wasn't the only success of the night. The mega-sized ice cream sandwich ended up being so popular that it's now on the menu permanently.
Now Bardi Gang fans (or anyone who just loves dessert) can order the cookie-cake, which costs $120 and feeds 10 to 12 people.
That's a lot of "shmoney," as Cardi B says, but the five-layer treat is the ultimate indulgence for ice cream sandwich lovers.
